Business Privilege Tax

The Township of East Norriton has levied a Business Privilege and Mercantile Tax on all wholesale dealers, retail dealers, vendors and those businesses engaged in conducting restaurants or places where food, drink or refreshments are sold and any service type business or rentals within the boundaries of East Norriton Township. The tax is levied on gross receipts and the rates are as follows:

• Wholesale Business 1 mill (0.001)
• Retail Business 1 ½ mill (0.0015)
• Service Business 1 ½ mill (0.0015)
• Rental Business 1 ½ Mill (0.0015)

Each person subject to this tax is required to file a Business Privilege and Mercantile Tax return by April 15th of each year. All businesses are also subject to a Business Privilege and Mercantile Tax registration fee in the amount of $10.00.

The Board of Supervisors of East Norriton Township has appointed Berkheimer Associates the collector of the Business Privilege and Mercantile Tax.
